Suffolk Congress

suffolk-congress-logo-400pxThe Suffolk Congress is a free, collaborative campaigning network of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector organisations (including infrastructure and frontline charities) which has been running in Suffolk since 2010.

It is committed to working alongside statutory agencies and other Suffolk stakeholders, in a partnership of equals, to provide practical solutions to enhance the lives of the people of Suffolk. It is an independent network and that is its strength. The members of the Suffolk Congress come together through free will and through a belief that the VCSE sector together is stronger with one voice.

The formation of the Congress was prompted by the challenge of Suffolk’s New Strategic Direction and by the need to ensure that the voice of the sector was consistent and was heard at a time of real change. Members of the Suffolk Congress meet monthly and the dates and times of the meetings are available on the Community Action Suffolk and Suffolk Congress websites.
