Volunteer Suffolk

Lots of information about volunteering can be found online. www.volunteersuffolk.org.uk is the go-to website for information about volunteering in Suffolk.

For more information check out our FAQs or our Quick Guides to getting started.

V-Event project

V-Event, (Sport and Event Volunteering) is unique to Suffolk, bringing together event organisers who need volunteers, and those who want to volunteer their time for events and sports in Suffolk.

Initially set up to help establish a sustainable volunteering legacy in Suffolk as a result of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are proud to have over 450 brilliant volunteers who make up the County Events Team. These volunteers dedicate their time to helping out at a whole host of events across the county throughout the year from fun runs to bike rides to festivals – many of which would struggle to take place without volunteer support.

Visit the V-Event page on the Volunteer Suffolk website for more information.

Employee volunteering

This is also known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). If you are a company wanting to set up an employee volunteering programme within your organisation, or you are an employee who has been given some time by your company to volunteer, we can help!

This is a bespoke service, so please contact the CAS Volunteering Team at volunteering@communityactionsuffolk.org.uk or 01473 345400 and we will work with you to achieve your individual aims.

Contact the charity directly

Do you already know the charity that you would like to volunteer for?

Many people have a charity that has helped someone in the family, have used their services or just feel a really strong pull towards their aims and ethos.

If this is the case, go straight to their website and look under their volunteering section or the ‘How can you help’ section.

If you are finding it hard to find a contact, get in touch with the CAS Volunteering Team at volunteering@communityactionsuffolk.org.uk or 01473 345400 and they will try and help you find the right person.
