Are you seeking funds for your group & don’t know where to start?

Would you like to meet funders and get access to other sources of funding advice?
Then this is the event for you!

We are pleased to announce details of the first Community Funding Fair in Ipswich, offered free of charge by Community Action Suffolk on Tuesday 13th January 2015 from 10am – 2pm, including a light lunch.

This Community Funding Fair is designed for Voluntary and Community Sector organisations to gain access to financial support and one-to-one guidance from the following local and regional funders and advisers. We’ll hear short presentation from:

  • The Big Lottery – Jamie Conway, Funding Officer (on applying for Awards for All and Reaching Communities grants)
  • Suffolk Community Foundation – Andrea Pittock, Grants Officer (on applying for the local funds they administer)
  • TCHC – Jeanette Smith (The Consultancy Home Counties – on their Community Grants for employability skills)
  • Suffolk Pro Help – Judy Dow (on applying for free pro bono services from registered professional trades including legal, buildings and planning)
  • Community Action Suffolk – Hannah Bradley (our Economy and Enterprise specialist will highlight opportunities for securing EU funding).

We’ll also have both the local authorities in attendance to answer your questions about how they can support your group in seeking and securing funding:

Throughout the event there will be lots of opportunities to network with similar organisations and speak to our guest speakers at their marketplace stalls. All our advisers are also offering 20 minute one-to-one funding surgeries between 12.30 and 2.00pm, bookable in advance. This gives you the chance to ask specific questions to your target funder, or get general advice from one of the experienced advisers.

(update 17th December: one-to-one surgeries with The Big Lottery, Suffolk Community Foundation, Suffolk County Council and CAS are now fully booked. Slots are still available with TCHC, Suffolk Pro Help and Ipswich Borough Council)
