Annual Review 2013-14We are delighted to present the 2013/14 Annual Review for Community Action Suffolk (CAS).

As many of you will know, CAS was formed on the 1st April 2013 through the merger of ten organisations. During the first year we have worked hard to create a strong and joined up presence across Suffolk, providing support services to voluntary and community organisations.

We were privileged to be joined by Sir Stuart Etherington, Chief Executive of NCVO, in October 2013 and this marked the official launch of CAS. The first year has been one of opportunities and challenges, during which we have concentrated on delivering to the merger working principles – to listen to local need, to respond appropriately and effectively and to work towards providing enhanced access to support services across the county, in terms of geographical access and the quality of services.

Twelve months post merger is a short space of time and we are still a young organisation; listening, learning, developing and taking shape. We remain ambitious for the future. This Review simply scratches the surface, but I hope that it will give you an idea of the breadth our activities and the contribution we have made. Activities which are delivered to increase resilience, build relationships and make connections both within the VCS and with other sectors.

We would like to extend a big thank you to those of you have supported us during the last year, in particular to our funders for their continued support and to our many partners with whom we collaborate and share learning.
