Increase your understanding and confidence in recognising and responding to domestic abuse.
Course Aims
The course is aimed at youth workers who may need to support a young person to understand what is happening to them within an intimate relationship or with a family member. The session will cover information about the dynamics of coercive control and some info about how young people experience domestic abuse.
This course will cover:
- What is domestic abuse?
- Understanding coercive control
- Domestic abuse and young people
- Resources for supporting young people
