How to Write a Successful Grant Funding Application

This training will cover the work required to produce a successful grant funding application with a practical example.
Whether you are applying for a small grant or a multi-million pound grant the principles are the same. This course covers the background work that is required to start writing grant applications. These principles can also be used for corporate sponsorship requests and crowdfunding campaigns.
This training session will comprise of a working example of writing a grant application and help participants to understand how grant applications are assessed. This is an interactive session and is suitable for those who are new to grant application writing and a refreshers for eperienced grant applicants.

Meet the trainer
Jatinder Purewal has 24 years’ experience of working on small grant applications to large multi-million pound tenders in the VCSE sector. She was a qualified buyer before joining the VCSE sector in 1996. Her roles have included commissioning services through grant and tender processes and awarding grants on behalf of the voluntary and public sector. What her experiences bring to this training session is understanding both the challenges of writing grant applications but also how decisions are made by funding bodies.
