Introduction to involving volunteers: Planning and inclusion

A practical introductory course equipping you for your journey to becoming an outstanding volunteer manager and an inspiring volunteer leader.
Course content
This course is for people who manage or supervise volunteers especially individuals who are new to involving volunteers.
The session covers the first stages of volunteer management from preparing for involving volunteers, attracting the right volunteers through to getting them started.
During the Session you will be challenged to think beyond what’s needed for the traditional volunteer, gaining an understanding of today’s volunteers and what your organisation needs to have in place to give them a great experience. Participants will spend time devising a clear action plan for their organisation and volunteers.

• What is Volunteer Management and why people get involved?
• How to prepare your group to involve volunteers and attract the right kind of volunteers?
• How to turn interest into action, and get volunteers started in your organisations?
