Introduction to supporting volunteers: Support and Celebrate (Part 2 of the volunteer journey)
20th May 2021 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Please note that this course will be delivered on line via Zoom.
A practical introductory course equipping you for your journey to becoming an outstanding volunteer manager and an inspiring volunteer leader.
This course has been developed to give participants the confidence and preparation for involving volunteers, attracting the right volunteers and getting them started. During the course, participants will be challenged to think beyond what’s needed for the traditional volunteer, gaining an understanding of today’s volunteers and what their organisation needs to have in place to give them a great experience.
Participants will explore “What is volunteer management?”, learn why the public bother volunteering, as well as how to promote volunteering as a positive experience and measure impact. Participants will spend time devising a clear action plan for their organisation and volunteers.
We promote the concept of the Volunteer Journey – Plan, Include, Support and Celebrate and cover this in the 2 courses Plan and Include (Part 1) and Support and Celebrate (Part 2). We recommend booking both to get the full benefit of understanding the Journey of managing volunteers.
In addition we offer courses on Innovative Approaches to Volunteering, Volunteers and the Law and Dealing with Challenging Volunteer Situations. These sessions will deepen your knowledge around volunteer management and creating a better experience for you, your volunteers and beneficiaries
Questions you will be able to answer
