Introduction to Trustee Roles and Responsibilities for Good Governance
27th May 2021 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Please note that this course will be delivered via Zoom.
This is our highly effective Introduction to Trustees course delivered by Zoom. This is a fully interactive, training course facilitated by an experienced Trainer. This foundation course is an excellent way of helping both existing and new trustees and committee members to understand what their role and responsibilities are in governing an effective organisation
A Trustee is responsible for ensuring that a charity is carrying out its aims and objectives as depicted in the governing document. Trustees have to act in the charity’s best interest; manage the charity’s resources responsibly; ensure the charity is accountable; as well as acting with reasonable care and skill.
Subjects covered include: Understanding what a Trustee is and what this role entails; who can be a trustee; recruitment of trustees; Trustee roles on the board; Trustee liabilities; reporting requirements; relationships with other staff members and governance requirements.
This course is for anyone that is a trustee/ committee member; anyone who is considering taking up the role of trustee; or if you are interested in gaining more knowledge in this area. It will equip you with knowledge and skills, which will give you more confidence in carrying out your role.
Participants will be emailed a link to attend the training a few days prior to the event.
