NOCN L2 Theory of Youth Work: An introduction to youth work (Ipswich only)

An introduction to youth work: gain the knowledge, skills and qualities required to work with young people within a youth worker role.
This course is nationally accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN) and gives participants the practical youth work skills and knowledge to build their confidence and practice. The course draws on real life scenarios and includes the very popular peer groups tutorial and tasks are based in the participants own setting for extra relevance.
Ideal preparation for participants to begin, or expand their knowledge, working with young people in a range of youth work settings. The course contributes to the NOCN Level 2 Award in Youth Work practice.
This is a six session course. Sessions: Tuesday 13 April, Tuesday 20 April, Tuesday 27 April, Tuesday 4 May, Tuesday 11 May and Tuesday 18 May
The training has been funded by Suffolk County Council as part of the Suffolk collaborative approach to addressing Criminal Exploitation to support partners working with young people in Suffolk.
Due to demand and to ensure that as many organisations as possible benefit from this fully funded training offer all requests for places will be reviewed. You are invited to request a place on this course. Successful applicants will receive an email inviting them to confirm their place.
Organisations can apply for more than 1 place per course but will initially be allocated only one place. Additional applications will be held on a waiting list. If space allows additional places will be allocated after the course has closed for new bookings. (1 week in advance of the course)
