FreePlease note that this course will be delivered via Zoom. Booking for this course will close on Tuesday 12th October at 9am. This course is being subsidised by Youth Focus Suffolk so that we can offer it free of charge (usual course cost £125), and is available for individuals working with young people. To view other youth work training, please visit the Youth Focus webpage Course Content The session raises awareness of young people’s mental health and covers: – Some of the common mental health issues affecting young people, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and psychosis – Skills to work more effectively with young people living with mental health issues – Ways to support young people with a mental health issue and relate to their experiences Learning will take place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities. We limit numbers to 20 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn. Everyone who completes the session gets: A certificate to say you are Youth Mental Health Aware A manual to keep and refer to whenever you need it Meet the Trainer Helen Muddock – I have over 25 years experience working across the public and community sectors, designing and delivering Training and Development opportunities to employees, community groups and individuals; specialising in the areas of Mental Health; Personal Safety; Stress Management; Risk Assessment; Workplace Mediation; and Safety and Wellbeing Management.
