Our last Community Action Suffolk Covid-19 VCSE Impact Report for June 2020 highlighted a continued number of severe limitations on the sector in Suffolk including a worrying loss of income and funding.
Encouragingly however, the report also showed how well organisations have adapted their working practices and digital service delivery in response to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of digital has generally been very positive and has not only enabled the VCSE sector to continue to support our communities, but also to explore new ways of working and to deliver to a wider group of people in our communities.
Our August survey – ‘Moving Forward from Covid’ is now live and explores how the sector is beginning to adapt to service delivery in a very different landscape. We have kept some of the questions around the impact of loss of income and the amount of additional income organisations need going forward, as well as capturing impacts on volunteers and how we adapt to as we move into recovery. Our monthly surveys are a litmus test of how our sector is feeling, and how we may need to adapt and change what we are doing to continue to serve the needs of our clients, volunteers and staff going forward.
The surveys also support the wider work being carried out by the sector as it enters the adaptation and recovery phase and are used to influence local policy decisions.
Please do take the time to complete the survey again – it will help to provide a picture of the needs of the sector going forward and will contribute to the collaborative work to support our communities. Click here to take part and make your voice heard.
