Village Halls and Community Buildings network

CAS Village Halls and Community Building survey 2017

The Village Halls and Community Buildings network is one of a number of specialist networks facilitated by Community Action Suffolk for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in Suffolk.

How to join the network
This network is open to all VCSE sector organisations, which you can join by becoming a CAS member (membership is free). You will receive email updates when we have relevant news and information to share.

Purpose of the Village Halls and Community Buildings network
This network supports trustees and staff of community buildings to ensure they are competent in managing a facility for the benefit of the community whilst complying with legislation. We are developing an area on this website where staff and volunteers of community buildings can access fact sheets and guidance notes.

An annual conference will focus on areas including, but not exclusive, to:

  • Health and Safety
  • Complying with legislation
  • Refurbishment of buildings
  • Capital and revenue funding for Community Buildings
  • Maximising the use of a community building

Events
There will be an annual conference for the Village Halls and Community Buildings, on Thursday 2 November 2017.
