New course could be a life saver for Haverhill students

Samuel Ward Academy Students received Save A Life certificates and Food Safety qualifications as part of the school’s enrichment programme.

Year seven and eight pupils completed the online Food Safety Certificate and took part in an afternoon of first aid training, gaining them the Save A Life qualification.

Elaine Hewes from Community Action Suffolk – Volunteer Haverhill, presented the certificates to the students.

The funding to cover part of the Save A Life Course was provided by Suffolk County Council’s Activity for All fund.
