Senior Community Enabler – Kessingland

HOURS: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
TERM: Fixed term contract to 31st March 2021
LOCATION: Community based – some travel to Ipswich will be required
SALARY: £26,777 per annum
START DATE: As soon as possible

Community Action Suffolk is currently seeking a Senior Community Enabler who will work alongside local residents in Kessingland, Lowestoft to inspire, support, and offer guidance and opportunities to initiate social change in their community. This senior post holder will also lead the Community Enabling team consisting of two other posts – Kirkley and Harbour Wards. The ability to lead and motivate others and project coordination is essential to this role.
The post holder will build connections in the community to identify neighbourhood priorities determined by local residents and work with local stakeholders to ensure priorities are put in to action.

The successful candidate will be an advocate of social action and committed to making a difference for the benefit of the local community. They will champion resident-led initiatives and support residents to understand local needs and celebrate their community. They will have experience of working with partners to bring about change and motivating people to ‘get involved’ for the benefit of others.

The post will be community based in various venues. Travel to CAS offices in Ipswich will be required on occasion.

This project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund (BLF) – Reaching Communities Fund.
