Good Neighbour Scheme Development Officer

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Brightspace, Ipswich

Salary: £23,700 per annum

Start date: As soon as possible

Term: 3 year fixed term contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Community Action Suffolk, the county’s infrastructure organisation for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.

With funding from The Big Lottery we are looking to recruit a Good Neighbour Scheme Development Officer for this 3 year project.

Good Neighbour Schemes are local voluntary groups which offer a service in their community for those in need of help and support. The people who need support may be elderly, disabled, single parents and young mothers, temporarily in need through illness or anyone lonely or isolated within the community.

You will provide support to the existing schemes in Suffolk particularly around volunteer recruitment, safe practice and promotion of their work and will engage, encourage and enable other Suffolk communities to develop new schemes.

If you have a passion for working with people, good communication skills and able to act on your own initiative we would like to hear from you!

We are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments individuals may require in the recruitment process, or on commencement of post.
