We are pleased to announce details of this networking event offered by Community Action Suffolk in Ipswich. This will take place in Ipswich on Tuesday 21st April 2015 from 10am – 12.30pm.
Are you a new or fledgling organisation still finding your feet, or an established group with knowledge and experience to share?
This event is geared towards start-up organisations who are still working through those early issues around insurance, getting legal, getting online, and putting good governance arrangements in place. We’ll explore some of these, and hear advice from the in-house specialists in our IT and insurance teams.
We’ll hear 10 minute taster talks from:
- Matthew Morling, ICT Manager, Community Action Suffolk – IT for your organisation and how we can help
- Lorna Hart, Senior Development Officer, Insurance – Insurance considerations for your group
This will be followed by a short workshop led by our Community Field Officer Kirsty Wilmot on some of the other issues to consider to make sure your new organisation runs safety and effectively. We also hope to bring some case studies of successful recent start-ups to the event, so if you are one of these and would like to tell your story please get in touch!
Throughout the event there will be lots of opportunities to network with the other attendees, as well as a chance to enjoy presentations from a number of guest speakers.
There will also be a chance to talk to Kirsty Wilmot, Community Action Suffolk Field Officer for Ipswich, and arrange any follow up meetings from issues raised at the event.
