Our CAS Conference is back for 2026. This conference is taking place in person in Kesgrave, Ipswich.

We are delighted that this year’s Community Action Suffolk Annual Conference will be presented by Alex Barker, Pirate Extraordinaire!

‘Be More Pirate’, Sam Conniff, 2018 (and How To: Be More Pirate, 2020); is more than a book… it’s a movement for anyone who wants to shake things up. The network that has grown around the book recognises that too many of the rules, norms and conventions that uphold our systems and business models no longer serve people and planet; we need to create new ones.

Being more pirate is a shift in mindset; a willingness to think differently, to challenge and be challenged, and to stop asking permission to do what you know is right…

So, if you want to challenge yourself, and the ‘norms’ of how we do things to overcome challenges in a different way – this conference is for you.

Places are limited so secure your place now.
