Invitation for Voluntary, Community and Charity Sector Partners
Suffolk County Council (SCC) has developed internal practitioner guidance in response to a rise in safeguarding concerns relating to Honour-Based Abuse (HBA). Building on this work, SCC is now exploring how best to support partner organisations by raising awareness of HBA and providing practical guidance on recognising and responding to those who may be experiencing it.
To support this, SCC has created a short, seven-minute briefing that offers accessible, at-a-glance information for organisations working across Suffolk’s communities. As trusted partners who often have valuable contact with individuals and families, voluntary, community and charity sector organisations have a vital role to play in identifying concerns and supporting those at risk.
We are keen to hear your views on this briefing to understand how useful it is for your organisation, identify any areas for improvement, and explore whether further learning resources or support would be helpful. It is a great opportunity to learn more about HBA and how to identify it and respond.
We warmly invite you to join this webinar and contribute to the development of resources that can strengthen our collective response to Honour-Based Abuse and help ensure individuals receive the support they need.
