Invitation to VCS organisations in Sudbury and the surrounding area

(An invitation from Shirley Moore, CEO The Befriending Scheme)

You are invited to attend a meeting on Friday 6th March 2015 to discuss an ambitious new project in Sudbury and its locality. Connect Sudbury aims to bring services together and develop an improved model of integrated working.

Connect Sudbury is a partnership project which will encompass health, social care, police, and voluntary and community sector organisations. Your participation is integral to ensuring services become truly person centred, and people are empowered to better look after themselves and duplication in services is reduced.

Following on from last year’s county-wide Health and Care Review, Sudbury and its locality is the first area in Suffolk aiming towards health and care professionals, police and the voluntary sector all working together to put the interests of local people first. This joint working will greatly assist tackling the issues of an ageing population, the increase in long-term health conditions and the rise in public expectations, against a backdrop of increased financial pressures.

The workshop will take place on Friday 6th March 2015 at:
Sudbury RUFC, Whittome Field, Spicer Way, Great Cornard, CO10 0GB

There is a choice of sessions. To book a place on either of these sessions, please use the links below:

To help us better understand the voluntary and community sector across Sudbury and surrounding area, we have developed a short online survey, working with the CCGs, available here. This will provide us with a rich set of information which we will share with you at the workshop and will help us to really set the work off around neighbourhood networks. Please do fill it in before 5pm on 2nd March 2015.
