The Festival of Suffolk 2022 will be a celebration of our county during The Queen’s historic Jubilee and will bring together all people and communities in joyful celebration. It will create a powerful legacy to increase the visibility of Suffolk and support us all to improve lives for many years to come. This invitation provides an opportunity for our voluntary sector to come together to help shape those plans and make sure the Festival becomes a powerful vehicle to help support you in your work.
The Festival will mirror many aspects of the national celebrations being planned for next year, and already in Suffolk over 60 organisations are offering support and practical ideas to help shine a spotlight on our county. The festival team is engaging with groups across the county including residents, community and business leaders, local authorities and with the health and education providers, tourism bodies, faith groups, youth organisations, the military and emergency services. Conversations have begun with some of our voluntary and charitable sector, but a number of partners have asked for an opportunity to hear more and to discuss how their organisations and communities can get involved.
So with many thanks to our key partners Community Action Suffolk and the Suffolk Community Foundation, I am delighted to extend an invitation from Lady Euston to join her on a Zoom call about the Festival on either 28th September at 10am or 30th September at 2pm whichever is more convenient for you.
Together, let’s shine a spotlight on your work, and on Suffolk, opening up opportunities, connections and improvements for everybody, for many years to come.
We look forward to seeing you and send very best wishes and thanks.
