Health & Happiness event for World Mental Health Day in Haverhill

Free Health Checks and a pop up poet – Henry Raby are all part of an Open Door Information session to celebrate World Mental Health Day on Friday 10th October between 11.00a.m. and 2.00p.m. at The Burton Centre, next to the Library in Haverhill.

The event has been organised by the Haverhill Locality Voluntary and Statutory Partnership working alongside many other local organisations including Community Action Suffolk, Suffolk Family Carers, Age UK Suffolk, St Nicholas Hospice Care, Suffolk Libraries and Healthwatch.

Every year over 4000 people in Haverhill will experience mental ill health. The event hopes to raise awareness of the help and support available to all ages and backgrounds in the heart of the local community. The Health and happiness occasion seeks to encourage positive action and highlight the advice and support in Haverhill and surrounding areas.

Please come along to this event which is part of Suffolk Health & Wellbeing month, a campaign running throughout October, which includes a range of healthy lifestyle and mental health events around the county.
