Youth employment service Talent Match is looking for young people to join their Youth Panel to help shape the service and gain new skills.
Talent Match offers help and support for 18-24 year olds who have been out of employment, education or training for over a year, to get them into work or training that they enjoy.
Talent Match want a service that is made by young people, for young people. They want young people to join their Youth Panel to help make the service the best it can be.
The Youth Panel is for people who are eligible for the Talent Match service – 18-24 year olds who have been out of employment, education or training for at least 12 months. If you’re 17 or 25 you might still be able to join.
As part of the Youth Panel, you could be involved in things like:
- Creating a film – this can be around youth unemployment, general barriers young people have to overcome or a positive success story to raise awareness of Talent Match.
- Innovation – this is about ideas, something different and fresh that could inspire young people to engage with Talent Match.
- Community Development – this is about helping communities, looking at working with organisations to help others and raising the profile of Talent Match.
- Social Enterprise – coming up with ideas and creating a small enterprise that could potentially generate income and funding for our activities
- Celebration Event – In the New Year we will be looking to run an event for participants, young people and employers.
- Activities and days out
The Youth Panel is an opportunity for you to meet new people, work as part of a team and develop many key skills that are required for employment.
Youth Panel meetings will run every Thursday between 5pm to 6:30pm in venues across Ipswich.
The first one is Thursday 15th October at Subway in Carr Street, Ipswich.
