Learning Lunch: Handling Grievances

Learning Lunches are a valuable opportunity to informally network with colleagues across the voluntary sector and to hear from some guest speakers who are experts in their field. These events are hosted by some special venues across Suffolk.

 

Title: Handling Grievances

What is a grievance? Why have grievance procedures? Explore the ACAS code for handling grievances and look at the formal process for dealing with a grievance as well as touching on special types of grievances such as bullying and harassment and whistleblowing. Lucy Pakes HR professional from Ashtons Legal will be exploring all these issues over lunch.

Lucy Pakes is a CIPD-qualified HR professional with many years’ experience of advising businesses on employment law and HR best practice. She has worked for employers as diverse as Archant Newspapers and Suffolk County Council and has also provided HR consultancy to many Small and Medium-sized Enterprises across East Anglia.
