We are working to establish a Suffolk Food Partnership, bringing together food producers and businesses, community organisations, public agencies and academics to collaborate and work towards developing a more sustainable and equitable local food system for Suffolk.
We are on track to apply to make Suffolk a Sustainable Food Place in May 2025, under the Sustainable Food Places programme.
Sustainable Food Places is a partnership programme run by the Soil Association, Food Matters and Sustain, working toward issues around building local good food movements, working for healthy food for all, and tackling environmental issues around food and farming.
Do get in touch with Sara or Maisie if you have any questions regarding the above, or want to get involved.
Suffolk Food Summit 2024
On November 12th, we hosted Suffolk’s first Food Summit at the Food Museum, supported by Suffolk County Council and East of England Local Government Association (EELGA). The event brought together diverse voices across the food system – from local authorities to farmers and academics, to celebrate, debate, and share knowledge and experiences around all things food.
