A Unique Suffolk Pledge

This week, we’ve revealed our Suffolk-focused approach to the nationwide initiative, branded The Big Help Out.

To mark the Coronation weekend in May, organisations will be coming together to encourage families, groups, individuals and businesses to get involved in ‘giving back’ through volunteering.

In Suffolk, we’ve decided to take our own unique approach to this.

We’re eager to ensure that as well as participating in a weekend of activity and celebration, communities are spurred into an enthusiastic ongoing commitment to volunteering.

If you like, it’s our way of creating a ‘volunteering legacy’ for Suffolk.

So, kicking off on the Coronation Weekend, you’ll be able to take part in The Big Suffolk Pledge.

As a business or individual, you can state your commitment to doing something ‘for’ volunteering.

You might be a company owner who launches a formal Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV) scheme for the first time, or you might be an individual who vows to become a school governor, or who pledges to help at a local community facility several times a year.

We would love you to get involved in the campaign, and to share your stories of how you intend to do so.

For more information, you can visit our website to see the kinds of options available to you. And, in the meantime, don’t miss out on the chance to find volunteering roles, by going to volunteersuffolk.org.uk
