Heritage Lottery Fund wants to hear from equality groups and networks

PrintThe Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) in the East of England is compiling a database of equality groups and networks or charities representing people in equality groups in the region.

The groups included in the database need to have the capacity to apply for HLF funding and deliver the resulting project, either individually or as multiple organisations working in partnership – grants start at £3000 (see HLF website).

This is to provide HLF with a picture of which organisations are currently operating and so facilitate its forward planning and engaging more proactively with these groups in future. HLF is specifically looking to include organisations representing audiences with a disability, LGBT, Faith and BAME groups.

The information needed for inclusion in the database is as follows:

  • Name of organisation
  • Postal address
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Website address
  • Facebook page / Twitter feed / Any other social media used
  • Names and positions of any key individuals in the group/organisation
  • Briefly, the organisation’s aims/objectives/mission statement
  • The organisation’s governance structure (Church or faith based / Commercial / Community or Voluntary / Local authority / Other public sector / Private)

The Data Protection Act 1998 will be strictly adhered to regarding the storage and processing of this information. Any information received will only be shared with HLF.

If you would like your organisation, group or network to be included in the HLF database, please contact their external consultant: Dr Harriet Foster at [email protected] or on 07519 705638 (Mondays – Thursdays) no later than Thursday 28 January 2016.
