Rhiannon has been the Archdeacon of Ipswich for the last four years. During this time her main task has been to strengthen and grow the churches in Ipswich and help them to be an inspiring presence in the community. She is one of four Archdeacons and 200 clergy serving Suffolk, working closely with Bishop Martin to help support and develop our 481 churches and 87 church schools, a privilege which involves working with thousands of volunteers. She is also on the steering group for ‘Together for Ipswich’, a fairly recent collaboration of over 80 churches across Ipswich.
Before moving to Ipswich Rhiannon was the Director of Mission for the Church of England in Birmingham and before that was a Vicar of three parishes on the outskirts of Cambridge. She is passionate about supporting communities on the margins and loves all things to do with vision and strategy. To relax she likes to travel, dabble in interior design and eat more cheese and chocolate than are good for her.
