Digital Differences: A Better Internet for who?

To celebrate Safer Internet Day, the University of Suffolk is hosting a multi-disciplinary conference to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children, young people and vulnerable adults and inspire new debates for digital wellbeing.

On 5th February, Digital Differences – a better internet for who? will bring together internationally renowned experts in online safeguarding and cybersecurity to provide practical insight into how we can better protect children, young people and vulnerable adults online through meaningful and respectful participation.

By adopting an inter-professional approach, the conference will be of interest to educators, health professionals, social care and safeguarding professionals and practitioners from statutory and non-statutory organisations  policy makers and commissioners. It will explore key issues in policy approaches and critically engage with current debates and provide practical ‘best practice’ guidance and advice on online safeguarding and security. It concludes a choice of training workshops – CEOP ThinkUKnow for safeguarding children online and Marie Collins Path to Protection training to support children and their families after online sexual abuse.

This CPD event only costs £65 for the whole day including refreshments. We hope you or a member of your safeguarding team will be able to join us for what promises to be a very interesting and engaging event.
