Volunteer Leadership Training
THE FULL LEADERSHIP COURSE
The full leadership course is made up of three courses that can be accessed in a few ways.
- Attend each part over a year (online)
- Attend the fixed date course which usually is offered over a 6-week period (one session each fortnight, online)
- Access the course over two full days, face to face
What does this include?

The Volunteer Journey.
This is a full session, setting up your action plan on how you PLAN, INCLUDE, SUPPORT AND CELEBRATE volunteers.
Whether you have already got volunteers or are planning to start to recruit them, this session is designed to help you in all stages of this process, whether setting up from scratch or taking this opportunity to review current practices

Volunteers and the Law.
This is an informative session that enables candidates to feel confident that they are up to date on legislation. Understand the pitfalls that can lead to issues and how to prevent these. E.G. Language used in the day to day by all that encounter volunteers.

Handling difficult situations.
A very practical session where we look at scenarios that could easily arise in any organisation that involves volunteers. How can we handle these situations well to retain volunteers and equally understand when it may be time to say ‘goodbye’.
The full training calendar has dates across the year to access these courses in each of the three ways mentioned. To see this in our training list please go to Training & Events List – Community Action Suffolk
